Ebiowei to Bolster Crystal Palace
Ebiowei enjoyed an excellent season for the Championship team. The youngster was an integral part of Wayne Rooney’s team and impressed on the right wing. Manchester United they linked the move to him, but the young man had made a clear preference by agreeing to move to London.
He joined Derby County after spending four years at Arsenal’s academy. After leaving Arsenal, the England U-16 international spent 12 months in Scotland with Rangers before moving to Pride Park.
Shortly after joining Derby County’s first team, Ebiowei won praise from his manager after a 1-1 draw against Coventry City: “I feel he’s very good in all games – the best player on the field.” Rooney said. “This is one of the best performances I’ve seen from a young player, consistently over 90 minutes, over a long period of time.” Winning praise from Rooney this shows his incredible talent.
What Ebiowei Brought to Selhurst Park
Derby County youths have won widespread praise for their performances on s struggling team last season. The Championship team enjoys a nightmare campaign on and off the field.
Despite the team’s difficulties, he has had a good attitude throughout the season as revealed by Rooney and the Derby County hierarchy at various points this season. He was fast, direct, and brave on the ball. Ebiowei is brilliant at tacking players in one on one situations. He is an exciting prospect, and this could be a real coup for Crystal Palace and a missed opportunity for Manchester United.
With restrictions imposed on the takeover, stopping the club from arranging contract extensions, it is therefore an impossible task to maintain its young assets at Pride Park, as the contract will expire this summer.
