Wheels24 Editor Janine Van der Post as one of the 25 members of the SAGMJ Car of the Year competition jury, she shared her thoughts on this year’s winners: “The jury members were thrilled to see who would be the winner in each category of the 2022 competition.
“It’s great to see the Toyota Corolla Cross as a worthy competitor and an overall champion. It makes more people feel like a people’s car with a crown. Although the previous winners were all incredible and got high scores in the category, the Corolla Cross is really good. matches the best cars on the market – based on value for money, total sales, and just a worthy winner.
“I’m also particularly pleased to see the Peugeot 208 as the Motor Enthusiasts Choice Award. It’s one of the top choices in this year’s competition. The Nissan Navara is another good surprise.”
